Synopsis Wind Breaker
Wind Breaker tells the story of how from an early age, Haruka Sakura was ostracized for her unusual appearance and lack of social skills. However, that harsh treatment turned her into a skilled fighter, which is now the only thing she is proud of.
Starting out at Furin High School, a place rumored to be more concerned with strength than academics, Sakura had only one goal: to make it to the top.
Involved in a street fight the day before her enrollment, Sakura happens to run into a group of prospective schoolmates. Instead of getting the usual rejection, they rally around her, showing that all the school really cares about is protecting Makochi town from any harm and that’s why the students call themselves “Bofurin”.
Surprised by the appreciative support from the townspeople, Sakura has a hard time accepting their good intentions. Although unaccustomed to the kindness shown to her, Sakura must learn to overcome her discomfort when the Bofuri are pitted against a formidable foe.
After feeling a sense of acceptance, she finds herself fighting for people for the first time.***
